Mathletics is the next generation in maths, helping students enjoy maths and achieve outstanding results. Mathletics is the worlds most used mathematics websites. It is trusted by more than 10,000 schools and over 3.5 million students. Mathletics responds to child's individual strengths and weaknesses. Step by step support is like having a teacher 24 hours a day and is great fun while learning. Each child in Y6 has been given a login for the sight which can be used at any time and from any where!

Currently, in maths...

In Maths we will be practising how to read different scales, interpret statistics and learning about shape and positioning  . We will be continuing our learning of time and practising our times tables up to 12 x 12!

 Message to Parents:
Our children need to know their times tables off by heart. If they know their times tables they can access a wide variety of maths with much more ease. This can only come by practising. Here are a few useful web-sites to help them:

 Currently, in topic...

This half-term our topic is The Indus Valley, we will be taking an in-depth look at this ancient civilisation. Discover what the Indus people ate, what they wore, how they lived together and what happened to end their civilisation. Y5/6 will be covering the geography, history, art and design and design technology primary curriculum during the half term.  Through this, we will be collecting all the work that the children have finished and will hold an Indus Valley museum on the last week of the half term.

Home Learning

Home learning will be given on Fridays and is due in the following Friday. Green cards and dojo points will be given for early or special home learning.
