Well done to the 8 children who took part in the amazing day out at Don Valley.
Quote for the day  - "It's not magic... it's science!"
Our school competing with 20 other schools (including some secondaries) in firing our water/air powered rocket across the stadium!  It was the final part of a great time learning about aerodynamics, speed, accelaration, velocity and other "sciency" things!
Our rocket's design was based on evidence of efficiency of weight, drag and power.  Our successful launch took us into 2nd place, only to be beaten into 4th by the last 2 rockets.
Other competition activities on the day were to build a launch delay device (which we won) and build the tallest tower from dried spaghetti and marshmellows (which we also won).
The science club will be relaunching (pun intended) for a new group of pupils soon...
